Haxton Adding to Stack

Isaac Haxton
Isaac Haxton
Isaac Haxton has picked up a couple of medium-sized pots here lately to chip back up to 1.35 million.

The first against Noah Schwartz. Haxton opened with a raise to 85,000 from the hijack, and Schwartz called from the cutoff. Both checked the flop -- {6-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{9-Spades} -- and turn -- {Q-Spades}. The river was the {3-Diamonds}. Haxton bet 85,000, and Schwartz called. Haxton showed {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for eights, and Schwartz mucked.

In the next one, Haxton opened to 85,000 again, this time from middle position, and got a caller in Vitaly Lunkin from the big blind. Once again the hand got checked to the river, at which point the board read {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Lunkin checked, Haxton bet 125,000, and Lunkin called. Haxton showed {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for kings and queens, and Lunkin mucked.
