"That Would Have Been a Ralph Perry"

Lex "RaSZi" Veldhuis raised to 69,000 from under the gun, then Tony G pushed all in for 413,000 from the cutoff. It folded back to Veldhuis who made the call.

Veldhuis {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}
Tony G {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}

The board came {2-Hearts}{7-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}, and Tony G had doubled up.

After the hand, Tony G smilingly commented on Veldhuis' decision to gamble with K-Q. "Now, king-jack, that would have been nice," said Tony G. "That would have been a Ralph Perry."

The G was alluding of course to a certain televised hand from the 2006 Intercontinental Poker Championship involving Perry. That hand elicited some commentary as well, some of you may recall.

Tony G now has 880,000, and Veldhuis 1.8 million.
