Rios Breaks The Clay-ton Mould

Clayton Newman now flush with chips makes it 48,000 to play and Jesse Rio calls from the cutoff.

The flop is {7-Clubs} {7-Spades} {7-Hearts} and Newman bets 60,000 and Rios calls. They then check the {K-Hearts} turn and {6-Clubs} river. Rios wins with {A-Clubs} {3-Clubs} beating Newman's {Q-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds}

Newman Doubles Through Parker

Clayton Newman moved all in from the cutoff seat for 212,000, and Brock Parker called him from the big blind.

Parker {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Newman {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The flop came {9-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{8-Clubs}, putting Newman in front. The turn was the {Q-Hearts}. And the river brought the {Q-Diamonds}. Newman doubles up to 450,000. Parker now has 1.2 million.

A Georgia native, the 22-year-old Newman had a deep run at last summer's WSOP Main Event, earning $32,166 for his 305th place finish. Newman also had another cash in another WSOP event last summer with a 111th place finish in a $1,500 no-limit hold'em tournament. Besides playing poker and working as an online poker instructor, Newman also enjoys traveling, video games, and golf.

Brock & Roll

Brock Parker raises to 50,000 from second position and everyone passes including Rios in the big blind.

Parker takes the next pot also with an UTG raise, it doesn't look like he wants Serock to completely dominate this table despite having position on him.

Easy Does It

Some highlights from the first orbit of the final table...

Joe Serock raised to 48,000, and Jesse Rios called from the button. The flop came {8-Spades}{Q-Spades}{10-Clubs}, and both checked. The turn was the {10-Diamonds}. Serock checked, Rios bet 100,000, and Serock looked over at him from beneath the brim of his cap. Serock folded, and Rios takes the pot.

On the next hand, Jesse Rios limped in from the cutoff, Brock Parker completed from the small blind, then Joe Serock raised to 80,000. Rios called, and Parker folded. The flop came {2-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Clubs}. Serock bet 120,000, Rios folded, and Serock takes the pot.

The next two hands saw Brock Parker try to steal the blinds from the button, but Alex Wilson take it with a big blind reraise. Then on the next one, Serock took the blinds and antes with a preflop raise.

Russell Ready to Rumble

In the first hand of six-handed play, Jesse Rios opened with a raise to 60,000 from the small blind, then Russell Crane moved all in from the big blind with the roughly 400,000 he had left after paying the ante and big blind. Rios thought about it, then let it go.

Crane has about 540,000, and Rios 1.03 million.

Small Note

The average stack is 1,335,000 at the moment and only Brock Parker, other than Serock has more than average chips at this time.

Stay Tuned

The players are back, but it looks like it will still be a short while before play begins as preparations for the live streaming broadcast are being put into place.
