A Pot for Sowers

When Fabian Quoss raised to 100,000 from the cutoff, Mike Sowers made the call from the button and we went heads up to a flop of {5-Hearts}{J-Spades}{9-Clubs}.

Both players checked, and checked again when the {4-Hearts} came on the turn. With the {6-Hearts} on the river, Sowers led for 245,000 and Quoss released his cards.

Baron Bashful as Quoss Collects Another Pot

Isaac Baron raised to 100,000 from under the gun and Fabian Quoss made the call in the big blind and our two chip leaders clashed.

The flop landed {5-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Quoss checked to Baron, who bet out 145,000. Quoss took his time once again before making the call.

The turn was the {5-Hearts} putting a pair on board. Quoss checked and Baron checked behind as the {6-Diamonds} fell on the river. Once again both players checked.

Neither player wanted to show, and in the end Baron convinced Quoss to flip {A-Clubs}{J-Spades} which was the best hand.

Gerasimova Doubles Up

Lika Gerasimova
Lika Gerasimova
Isaac Baron raised to 100,000 from mid-postion and action folded to Lika Gerasimova, who moved all in for 455,000 from the button.

Baron went into the tank before finally making the call, showing {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}, putting him well behind Gerasimova's {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}.

A flop of {8-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} gave Gerasimova top set and Baron a gut-shot draw, which he couldn't complete with either the {6-Clubs} or {7-Clubs}.

The pot doubled Gerasimova to approximately 950,000.

Baron Rakes a Pot

Danny Illingworth raised to 110,000 from the hijack only to have Isaac Baron pop the pot by 200,000 more from the button.

When action folded back to Illingworth, he folded his hand, giving the chips to Baron.

One for Sowers

Mike Sowers raised it up to 100,000 from early position and Isaac Baron made the call from the big blind.

The flop landed {A-Spades}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Baron checked to Sowers, who tossed out 140,000 to take it down.

Keller Gets a Key Double Up

Thomas Keller has been nursing his short stack for hours, being very careful about when and where he commits his chips.

When action folded to him on the cutoff, Keller decided {K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} was good enough to shove with short-handed, pushing 190,000 into the middle. Fabian Quoss made the call and showed {K-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}.

A flop of {10-Spades}{2-Clubs}{J-Clubs} gave Keller a pair, which held up when the board finished with the {7-Hearts} and {5-Diamonds}. Keller now has 400,000.

Quoss Extends Lead

Fabian Quoss opened with a raise to 100,000 from under the gun and Danny Illingworth defended with a call in the big blind.

They saw a heads-up flop of {2-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Illingworth checked to Quoss, who thought for a moment before tossing out 125,000. Illingworth made a quick call.

The turn was the {K-Diamonds} and once again Illingworth checked to the deliberate Quoss, who took his time before checking behind.

The free river card was the {4-Spades} and Illingworth checked for a third time to Quoss, who this time fired out a hefty 350,000. Illingworth insta-called and Quoss tabled {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} for the best hand as Illingworth mucked. Quoss crosses over the 3 million chip mark for a comfortable chip advantage over the field.

Aces but No Action for Lemke

Isaac Baron opened the action with a raise to 100,000 from the cutoff, before Brian Lemke popped it up to 265,000 on the button. The blinds folded and Baron released his hand as Lemke flashed pocket aces!

Billy Kopp Eliminated in 8th Place ($75,115)

With a short stack, Billy Kopp had little choice but to move in for 75,000 from middle position. Fabian Quoss made the call as did Thomas Keller out of the big blind, giving Kopp a chance to triple up.

When the flop came {5-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}, Quoss led for 75,000 and Keller got out of the way. Quoss turned over {J-Clubs}{J-Spades} while Kopp tabled {9-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and needed help, which didn't come with either the {K-Clubs} or {6-Hearts}.

Kopp left in 8th place with a payday of $75,115.

We're Back

After a ten-minute break that lasted twenty-minutes (our third break within the last two hours) the players have taken their seats and we're finally going to play some cards.
