Yildiz Climbing the Ladder

Diren Yildiz
Diren Yildiz
According to another player at the table, Diren Yildiz called a player's all-in with {8-Hearts} {7-Hearts} for just under 17,000 and flopped a straight which held up when the board ran out {J-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {9-Spades} {K-Spades} {4-Hearts}.

Before this, Yildiz flopped a straight with {A-?} {3-?} when the flop came down {5-?} {4-?} {2-?} to take a decent pot.

To keep up with playing aggressive poker, Yildiz had another player all in preflop. This time, Yildiz held {K-Spades} {10-Clubs} versus his opponent's {Q-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds}. The board ran out {J-Clubs} {10-Spades} {3-Spades} {A-Clubs} {3-Clubs} and Yildiz scooped another pot to end an opponent's tournament.

Yildiz is of Turkish descent from Belgium. He's been playing very aggressively throughout the tournament and has built his chip stack up to 246,000 at this point. According to Yildiz, he's an amateur who has been playing for nine to ten months. He won his seat here by playing a satellite tournament back in Belgium.
