Hellmuth Table Talk

The hand itself was pretty straightforward. Ramzi Jelassi raised preflop to 1,600 and got one caller before the action came to Phil Hellmuth. Hellmuth asked who raised, then upon being informed that Jelassi was the culprit, said, "You? I'm gonna reraise you," and reraised to 7,600. Action folded back to Jelassi who reminded Hellmuth of an earlier hand the two had played, where Jelassi put in the third raise preflop and then showed aces when Hellmuth folded.

Hellmuth started going on about how sick it was that he would have to fold this hand, and how the amateurs don't want to ever play after the flop. Finally, he did lay down the hand.

Jelassi chuckled an evil chuckle as the pot was pushed to him, then flashed his cards to the ESPN camera right behind him before mucking them. Hellmuth asked him if it was a bluff, and Jelassi nodded that yes, it was a bluff. Hellmuth's response was to suggest Jelassi would never win a bracelet playing like that.
