We know many of you are curious as to the final number of players who started their Main Event today-- as are we. Per Tournament Director Jack Effel, the "unofficial official" number of players today is 1,297. The "official official" number will officially be released at the dinner break. Complications like late buy-ins, no-shows, people changing their Day 1 play date, etc. all are contributing to the delay in the release of this number.
