Teng Feeling Copasetic

Tom Cope - eliminated
Tom Cope - eliminated
Andrew Teng, who entered the day with over 1,000,000 chips, just added to his stack. He called a preflop all-in raise from Tom Cope with {A-Diamonds} {J-Clubs}. Teng was behind Cope's {A-Spades} {K-Spades}, but caught up in a hurry when the flop came down {J-Hearts} {9-Hearts} {2-Diamonds}. There was no miracle king for Teng on the turn {5-Hearts} or the river {7-Clubs}. He has been eliminated.

Tim Taylor Doubles Through Jerry Martin

Jerry Martin made an opening raise from UTG. The action was folded around to Tim Taylor in the small blind, who moved all in. Martin made the call.

Taylor {A-Clubs} {K-Diamonds}

Martin {Q-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {K-Spades} {J-Clubs} {2-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {J-Hearts} and Taylor doubled up to 470,000. Martin was left with 770,000.

Layne Sent Down the Road

Chad Layne pushed all in preflop from middle position with his last 117,000. Jason Su called from late position, and Davor Lanini called as well from the small blind.

The flop came single-suited -- {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. Lanini pushed his big stack all in, and Su got out of the way. Lanini showed {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} for a pair of queens, and Layne turned over {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}.

The turn was the {3-Diamonds} and the river the {10-Hearts}, and Layne is out. Lanini currently has 1.65 million.

I'll Cut and You Pick The Slice You Want, OK?

Under the gun Keith Ferrera raised to 29,000 and Lisa Parsons called. From the button Stephane Hornet moved in for his last 121,000 and Ferrera came over the top and moved all in himself. Parsons got out of the way, though she might've wished she'd called when she saw Ferrera held {A-Hearts} {2-Hearts} to Hornet's {A-Clubs} {5-Spades}.

The {K-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {9-Clubs} board meant that neither Ferrera's nor Hornet's kickers played and so they took back their chips and divvied up the blinds, antes and the chips Parsons put into the pot.

Mills Eliminated

After an early-position raise, James Mills reraised all in for 212,000. Karle Wilson, in late position, woke up with {K-Hearts} {K-Spades} and made the easy call, folding the early-position raiser. Mills showed {8-Clubs} {8-Diamonds}, and was drawing practically dead after the flop came down {10-Hearts} {K-Clubs} {Q-Spades}. The turn and river of {4-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} sent him to the rail.

Charles Dolan Eliminated

Charles Dolan - Eliminated
A short-stacked Charles Dolan decided he couldn't wait any longer. He picked his spot and got the last of his chips in before the flop holding {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds}. Joe Bishop looked him up and tabled {K-Clubs} {Q-Spades}.

Dolan went into the flop with a sizable advantage but that edge was quickly negated when the flop came {A-Spades} {J-Diamonds} {10-Clubs}. Bishop flopped Broadway and left Dolan drawing to runner-runner for the win or a {Q-?} to split the pot.

Neither came when the turn and river fell the {5-Diamonds} and {3-Spades} respectively. Dolan hit the rail and Bishop cruised to just under the 1,000,000 chip mark

Plan for Your Future

We are seeing lots of players with dozens of stacks of yellow or orange chips before them. During the break, the tournament director announced an offer to color up chips for anyone with too many in front of them.

"It'll give you room to accumulate more," he added.

Hellmuth Awarded Designated Pacing Area

During the breaks of every WSOP event, including the Main Event, the players are required to leave the tournament area and remain outside the Amazon Room until five minutes before play recommences. During this particular break, Phil Hellmuth requested that he be allowed to remain in the room in order to "pace." Apparently, he's still fuming about that hand where his {6-?} {6-?} went down to Brandon Cantu's {J-Clubs} {8-Clubs}.

Hellmuth was not permitted to remain in the Amazon Room, but he was shown into the back hallway, where he's pacing his tilt away.
