Win Some...

We missed the preflop action, but it ended with Brandon Cantu and Pat P. Callaghan in a classic race situation. Callaghan's tournament life was at stake, with his {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} taking on Cantu's {4-Spades} {4-Hearts}. Callaghan lost the flip when the board ran out ten high.

Frankie O'Dell Eliminated

With the board reading {A-Hearts} {K-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {9-Clubs} on the turn, Frankie O'Dell checked from the small blind, Justin Wald bet 20,000 from the button and O'Dell called, leaving himself only 10,000 behind. The river was the {A-Clubs}. O'Dell moved all in and Wald called.

O'Dell turned up {3-Clubs} {3-Hearts} for a small flush, but Wald held {A-Spades} {7-Spades}, having rivered a full house, and bracelet winner O'Dell hit the rail.

Porter Doubles Up

With time running out and his chip stack running low at about 40,000, Devin Porter made his stand with {A-Hearts} {6-Clubs}. He found one customer in David Baker, who called with {J-Clubs} {10-Clubs}. Things were very interesting on the {K-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} {7-Spades} flop, but the turn and river blanked out {8-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} to allow Porter to exhale and collect the pot. He now has about 96,000.

Bax Coming Back

On a flop of {7-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}, there's a three-way all-in situation.

Dag Martin Mikkelsen: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Salomon Sutton: {K-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

The turn and river are {8-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. Sutton is out. Mikkelsen now has 265,000. Josephy now has 235,000.

Tony Clark Rockets Up Leaderboard

Australian Tony Clark has just taken down a monster pot with his {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} up against the {A-Spades}{K-Spades} of Pawel Andrzejewski.

The board fell {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} and Clark eliminates his opponent to jump up to around 600,000 chips.

Clark is a postman from the Gold Coast in Australia and tells us he is having the time of his life here in Vegas after winning his seat in a pub poker series back in Australia. He was excited to be seated with Phil Hellmuth on Day 2 and has enjoyed spending time with his sporting heros in Shane Warne and Jeff Fenech.

His wife was over here with him but had to recently return to be with their 7-year-old daughter, as Tony continues to make a deep run in this tournament.

That's Hard to Believe

Chris Zapf reraised all in for 98,000 after Robert Ford had reraised himself to 36,000. The original raiser folded to Zapf's all in, but Ford made the call with {K-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}. He was in a commanding lead over Zapf's {10-Clubs} {10-Diamonds}.

"Did anyone fold a ten?" Zapf asked hopefully.

The flop came no help for Zapf, {A-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} {7-Clubs}. Things were looking grim on the {5-Diamonds} turn, but the river brought Zapf a beautiful {10-Hearts} and gave him the winning hand. He let out a sigh of relief.

"That's the first bad beat I've given this entire tournament," claimed Zapf. Ford simply responded, "Good hand."

Thierry's Runner Runner

On a river of {K-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{J-Clubs}, T6 pro Thierry van den Berg raises to 13,000 and Stephen Giufre reraises to 40,000. Thierry is all in and Stephen calls.

Stephen: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}
Thierry: {Q-Spades}{10-Hearts}

Thierry made runner-runner and is up to 344,000, while Stephen falls to 96,000.

Blame It On the Rain

Dave Colclough has been eliminated from play at the hand of Hevad "Rain" Khan. The two players were all in before the flop. Colclough held a dominating hand, {K-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} against Khan's {K-Clubs} {9-Spades}. He was the one who was dominated when the flop came down {5-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {9-Diamonds}. He couldn't come up with the re-suckout on a turn of {4-Clubs} and river of {A-Hearts}.

Fokke Beukers Eliminated

With the board reading {A-Spades} {10-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} on the turn, Fokke Beukers bet 23,000 and Jeffrey Frye made the call. The river was the {K-Clubs}. Beukers moved all in and Frye insta-called.

Beukers turned up {Q-Hearts} {9-Hearts} for the straight, but Frye had made a flush on the turn with {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} and raked in the pot. Beukers was eliminated while Frye increased his stack to 280,000.
