A short-stacked Jason Lester was all in preflop holding vs. Hoyt Corkins' . A king landed on the flop, though, Lester could not improve his hand, and he hit the rail.
After two limpers from late position, including Geert Jans from the button, Russ Silva pushed all in from the small blind for his last 13,500. Jans made the call and the players showed:

Big pairs seem to be holding today with a bit more frequency than we've seen on previous days of the Main Event. Tim Taylor's pocket queens prevailed over Mark Tschirch's pocket sixes on a board of after all the money went in preflop. That hand sent Tschirch to the rail and bumped Taylor up to the 500,000 mark.
Preflop, Kara Scott had made it 17,000 to go when a player on the button moved all in. Scott called and showed pocket kings and was up against her opponent's pocket jacks. Scott flopped a set and her opponent failed to improve, sending him to the rail and bumping Scott's count up to 280,000.
