Halling Heading Out

Shahram Rastegari may wish he had Phidias Georgiou's luck. Georgiou called a preflop all-in from Fredrik Halling with the same hand that busted Rastegari, albeit a different suit -- {K-Spades} {Q-Spades}. Halling showed {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs}, but was eliminated from the tournament when Georgiou made a spade flush out of {J-Hearts} {5-Spades} {2-Spades} {8-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}.

Shahram Rastegari Eliminated

We missed the preflop action, but we know Shahram Rastegari was all in with {K-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} against Tony Clark's {A-Hearts} {K-Clubs}. Rastegari couldn't turns the odds in his favor on a {A-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} {5-Spades} flop. The turn {7-Diamonds} and river {6-Diamonds} gave Clark the winning hand and eliminated Rastegari. Clark now has over 700,000 in chips.

Aaron Lerner Eliminated

Clifton Allen raised to 18,000, Aaron Lerner moved all in for 110,000 and Allen made the call.

Lerner {A-?} {K-?}

Allen {A-Spades} {3-Spades}

The flop was {Q-Spades} {5-Spades} {4-Spades}, Allen flopping an ace-high flush. The turn was a {5-?}, the river was the {K-Hearts} and Lerner hit the rail.

Peter Ling Eliminated

Peter Ling has hit the rail. He was down to only 26,000 and put it all in with {A-Clubs} {9-Diamonds}. Ylon Schwartz made the call from late position with {J-Clubs} {5-Clubs}. Schwartz flopped a flush draw -- {Q-Clubs} {8-Clubs} {3-Hearts} -- and turned a pair of fives with the {5-Diamonds}. That was enough to win the pot when the river bricked out {6-Hearts}.

Good Fold?

With the board reading {7-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {9-Spades} {2-Spades} {8-Spades} James Mills made an 80,000 bet into what was about a 150,000 pot. Marc Fineman thought it over before folding {K-?} {K-?} face up. Mills didn't show his cards and scooped a sizeable pot.

Bruce Hyde Eliminated

Nikolay Losev
Nikolay Losev
We caught up to this hand on a flop. With the board reading {6-Hearts} {2-Spades} {2-Diamonds} and a decent pot already in the center, Bruce Hyde moved all in for about 240,000. Nikolay Losev thought for a bit and then finally called. The players showed:

Losev: {A-Spades} {K-Spades}
Hyde: {J-Clubs} {9-Spades}

Losev's ace high was best and was still best after the {8-Spades} turn and {Q-Clubs} river. Hyde hit the rail and Losev stacked up to about 1,400,000 chips on the hand.

Hoodwinked

Brad Hood's tournament day just got a little longer. He pushed all in preflop for 43,000 with {A-Clubs} {9-Clubs}, only to be called by a hand that had him dominated -- the {A-Spades} {J-Diamonds} of Nick Voyatzis. Hood picked up a great flop of {A-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {4-Diamonds}. The {3-Diamonds} on the turn gave Voyatzis a flush draw to go along with his draw at the remaining jacks, but he didn't get there when the river fell {Q-Spades}.

Hood now has about 103,000. Voyatzis slipped slightly to 305,000.
