Mike Kachan Advances to the Final Table

Steve Kim raised preflop and Mike Kachan made the call.

On a flop of {10-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {2-Clubs}, Kachan bet out and Kim raised. Kim's raise put him all in. Kachan made the call.

Kim: {K-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}
Kachan: {10-Spades} {2-Spades}

The turn card of the {10-Clubs} gave Kachan tens full and left Kim drawing dead. To add insult to injury, the river fell the {10-Hearts}, giving Kachan quad tens and leaving Kim in the payout line.

Lorenz Guarin Eliminated

Lorenz Guarin was all in against Spencer Lawrence.

Guarin: {K-Hearts} {9-Diamonds}
Lawrence: {9-Hearts} {6-Diamonds}

Board: {6-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} {7-Diamonds}

Lawrence's sevens up were good enough to send Guarin packing.

Now only two players remain at table 5. Lawrence has 145,000 in chips and Mikael Norinder has 155,000. With the betting limits only 5,000 and 10,000, this table could take a while.

Calm and Slow

It's not even that late here at the Rio, but the the slowness of the play must be getting to players. The tables can be found cluttered with empty energy drink cans and cups of soda.

The lack of excitement can be seen if you look at every player's face. Even the shuffling of chips has slowed down.

Commotion

Because of where the tables are stationed right next to the "No Limit Lounge", spectators are passing back and forth between the remaining tables of the shootout event. Some of the players seem a little upset and uneasy that this is happening, but not much has been done. People just keep finding new ways to travel between the tables and distract the players.
