Andy Black Eliminated

It was a quick, brutal day for Andy Black. After taking an early hit and redeeming his rebuy chip, Black was already down to under 2,000. He managed to triple up by getting all in pre-flop against two players with {4-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {K-Hearts} {J-Hearts} and hitting the nuts on a board of {J-Spades} {2-Clubs} {A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} {3-Hearts}.

"I'm sorry," said Black. "I'm trying to get knocked out of the tournament."

The very next hand, Black doubled up to about 14,000 with {8-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {10-Hearts} when he flopped the nut straight and it held up through the turn and river. Black's luck came to an end the following hand, however. In a three-way pot with Arturo Diaz and one other player, Black bet 5,500 on the turn with the board showing {8-Clubs} {3-Clubs} {10-Spades} {5-Hearts}. Diaz moved all in and was called by the other player before Black called as well.

Black: {4-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {9-Clubs} {J-Diamonds}
Diaz: {A-Hearts} {3-Spades} {8-Hearts} {8-Diamonds}
Opponent: {7-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {J-Hearts} {J-Clubs}

Diaz had middle set; his opponent had a partial wrap draw; and Black also had a partial wrap draw. Unfortunately for Black, they were holding each other's outs. The turn and river came {5-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} to allow Diaz to scoop a pot worth almost 50,000 and eliminate Black.
