A Lot on the Line

With first place netting $911,855, we're looking at one of the bigger payouts at this summer's WSOP. In fact, that first place prize will be the largest thus far, though tomorrow's winner of Event No. 45, the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. event, will take home a larger prize.

Our second-place winner will win $570,551.

Hand #86: Richard Lyndaker

Richard Lyndaker raised to 100,000 from the small blind/button, and Joe Commisso called from the big blind.

The flop came {9-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}, and Commisso immediately checked. Lyndaker bet 125,000, and Commisso folded.

Hand #83: Richard Lyndaker

Joe Commisso raised to 150,000 from the button/small blind and Richard Lyndaker called.

The flop was {K-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} and Lyndaker checked. Commisso bet 225,000. Lyndaker made the call.

The turn was the {4-Hearts} and Lyndaker checked again. Commisso checked behind.

The river was the {9-Diamonds} and Lyndaker fired out 310,000 to take down the pot.

Hand #82: Richard Lyndaker

Richard Lyndaker completed from the small blind/button, and Joe Commisso checked his option. The flop came {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}{K-Spades}. Commisso checked, Lyndaker bet 50,000, and Commisso folded.

All small pots, but after Commisso took 7 of the first 10 hands heads up, that makes three in a row for Lyndaker.

Hand #80: Richard Lyndaker

Richard Lyndaker raised to 125,000 from the small blind/button, and Joe Commisso folded, eliciting a huge -- and unexpected -- cheer from Lyndaker's supporters.

Trying to light a fire, it appears.
