Erick Lindgren - 3,400,000

Lyle Berman - 2,200,000
Matt Glantz - 2,150,000

Hand #75 - Matt Glantz

Hand #74- Michael DeMichele

Hold'em:

Lyle Berman had the button. The action was folded around to Scotty Nguyen who made it two bets to go. Michael DeMichele three-bet and Scotty called.

The flop came {5-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {9-Diamonds}, and Scotty check-called Michael's bet. The turn was the {2-Spades} and after Scotty checked DeMichele bet 160,000, enough to get Scotty to lay it down.

Hand #73 - Erick Lindgren

Hold'em:

Matt Glantz had the button in Seat 1. Erick Lindgren raised and Lyle Berman called from the small blind. The flop was {7-Spades} {7-Hearts} {2-Hearts}. Berman checked, Lindgren bet, Berman folded and Lindgren won the pot.

Hand #72- Michael DeMichele

Stud-8:

Scotty Nguyen had the bring-in with the {2-Clubs} and Michael DeMichele completed. Lyle Berman and Scotty Nguyen both called.

DeMichele: (X-X) {A-Clubs} {6-Spades} {10-Diamonds} {6-Clubs}
Berman: (X-X) {8-Spades} {4-Spades} {5-Hearts} {5-Diamonds}

On fourth street DiMichele check-called Berman's bet and Scotty folded. DiMichele did the same on fifth street, but when he paired his six on sixth street Michael was the one doing the betting. Berman called, but on the river Berman thought a long time before throwing his cards away after DeMichele's 160,000 bet.

Greenstein's Elimination Shakes Up POY Race

Barry Greenstein, with his 6th place finish, has just secured the top spot in the Milwaukee's Best Light WSOP Player of the Year standings. With 235 total points, Greenstein is just 3 points ahead of previous leader Jacobo Fernandez.

While impressive, Greenstein shouldn't get too attached to his lead as his elimination has means Erick Lindgren will finish at least 5th in this event. Those 5th place points will guarantee Lindgren will at least tie Greenstein for the top spot and assuming Lindgren is not the next player eliminated from this event, he will become the outright leader.

Needless to say, any of the other top contenders could change things in the upcoming days. Jacobo Fernandez, David Benyamine and John "The Razor" Phan are all very much in the mix and with a strong finish in the upcoming days, could easily alter the POY landscape.

Stud-8:

Scotty Nguyen (X-X) {7-Spades} {3-Spades} {4-Clubs} {K-Spades} (X)

Barry Greenstein (X-X) {4-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} (X)

Michael DeMichele brought it in with the {3-Diamonds}, Scotty Nguyen completed, Barry Greenstein called and DeMichele folded. Greenstein led out on fourth, fifth, and sixth streets and Nguyen called him down. On seventh, Greenstein bet his last 160,000 and Nguyen called.

Greenstein showed two pair, aces and fours, but Nguyen had him beat with {7-?} {7-?} {6-?} in the hole for trip sevens. Greenstein was eliminated in 6th place, and will take home $355,200 for his efforts.
