Another Senior Moment

Two players saw a king-high flop and with plenty in the middle already, the player first to speak said, "Fourteen," and threw out two yellow 1,000-denomination chips and eight blue 500-denomination chips.

The dealer looked at the chips and was a little confused as the amount didn't total anything resembling "fourteen."

"Fourteen hundred or fourteen thousand?" questioned the dealer.

"I meant fourteen hundred!" said the player.

A tournament director was called over. He looked at the 6,000 in chips that had been bet and ruled, "Sorry sir but you've just bet 14,000."

"OK," agreed the player and the bet stood at 14,000.

His opponent went into the tank and appeared set to make the call but eventually laid down his hand, with the original bettor winning the pot. After the hand they all had a laugh as the player revealed that he didn't even mean to bet "fourteen," he just wasn't sure what amount to bet! Oh dear!
