A frustrating day of second-best hands has come to an end for Alfons Kela. He raised before the first draw, only to see Richard Chase reraise behind him. Kela made the call and drew two to Chase's one. After the first draw, Kela check-called Chase's bet. Both players drew one on the second draw. Again Kela checked, and after Chase bet, Kela called all in for his remainder.
Kela drew one card on the final draw; Chase was pat. Kela made a hand, 8-7-6-5-3, but once again it was just barely second-best to Chase's 8-7-5-4-3. Kela is out, but is $5,274 richer.
