Some of the more esoteric rules of triple draw differ from location to location. Tournament Director Jack Effel has given us two notable variations that are in effect today:

* If you want to draw five cards, you can get them consecutively. You do not have to draw four, wait for the draw to go all the way around, and then draw the fifth.

* Discards will immediately be killed and placed in the dead wood. Those cards will be shuffled back into the deck if needed. However, burn cards will stay down on the table for the duration of the hand.
