Feduniak Cut Down

Bob Feduniak just watched as Barry Greenstein and J.W. Smith chopped him up in a recent pot.

There was a bet in on every street, and two bets on sixth. Greenstein held ({3-Clubs} {6-Hearts}) {5-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {2-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} ({J-Diamonds}), making him the winning six-five low. Smith had ({8-Diamonds} {2-Hearts}) {6-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {8-Spades} ({5-Spades}), and his trip eights were good enough for the high side. Feduniak's up cards were {A-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {Q-Hearts}, but he failed to catch either half of the pot, and he takes a tumble down the leader board.

Family Values

Annie Duke just moved to Howard Lederer's table. It was only once upon a time that Duke eliminated Lederer from the WSOP Tournament of Champions and was really upset about it. We'll see if they do similar battle this time around.

Greener Grass for Barry

Barry Greenstein and Kirill Gerasimov raised back and forth on third street. Greenstein then bet each street until the end with Gerasimov calling.

Starting with three low cards, Greenstein was fortunate enough to have the card gods on his side when he caught a seven-high straight on sixth to win both the high and the low.

Gerasimov began with rolled-up eights, but couldn't improve to a full house or make a better low. Greenstein is now at 60,000.

A New Big Stack

Sebastian Ruthenberg just took down a monster pot, besting Chris Ferguson and leaving Alex Jacob eliminated in his wake.

Ruthenberg ended the hand with ({5-Hearts} {6-Spades}) {3-Diamonds} {4-Spades} {7-Spades} {A-Hearts} ({Q-Spades}). He got bets in on every street, with Jacob being all in on fifth, and Ferguson calling him all the way to the end. With the big pot added to his stack, he becomes just the second player to touch the 200,000 mark.

Sexton Doubles

Mike Sexton was all in on fourth street and ended up making a pair of sevens and a low of {7-?} {6-?} {4-?} {3-?} {2-?}.

Joe Tehan and Alessio Isaia were also in the hand, but only Isaia made it to the end. His held a pair of threes and a a second-best seven-six-five low.

Sexton is back to 34,000.

Giang Scoops a Monster

Chau Giang bet his hand the entire way against Bob Lauria. Lauria was just calling on every street.

On the end, after Lauria called one more time, Giang revealed a seven-high straight, {3-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {J-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}. Lauria's board read {Q-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {4-Clubs} and he mucked at the showdown.

Giang is now over 100,000.

Four Times the Action

Four players just became involved in a fairly sizable pot at table 31.

Jan Suchanek opens by completing the bring-in, showing the {5-Hearts}. Howard Lederer raises it up with the {8-Clubs} in the door. David Benyamine and Jeff Burdsall come along as well.

Lederer: (X) (X) {8-Clubs} {3-Spades} {A-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} (X)
Benyamine: (X) (X) {10-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {K-Spades} {6-Spades} (X)
Burdsall: (X) (X) {2-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {7-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} (X)
Suchanek: (X) (X) {5-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {Q-Spades} FOLD

We pick it up on fourth street. Lederer leads out, Benyamine raises, Burdsall calls all in, Suchanek overcalls, and Lederer puts out the second bet as well.

On fifth street, Lederer leads out again, Benyamine flat calls, and Suchanek folds. Burdsall is already all in.

Sixth and seventh street see Lederer betting again, and Benyamine calling both times. The hands are shown down:

Lederer: {8-Clubs} {3-Spades} {A-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} ({8-?} {8-?} {3-?})
Benyamine: {10-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {K-Spades} {6-Spades} (MUCK)
Burdsall: {2-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {7-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} ({3-?} {4-?} {5-?})

Howard Lederer takes the high half and the side pot with his eights full of threes. Burdsall takes the low with his seven-five. Benyamine is upset with the results, saying that he held three kings. After the dust settles, Lederer is up to 105,000, Burdsall is healthy again at 32,000, and Benyamine has fallen all the way back to 48,000.

Giang and Matusow Chop Out Reynolds

Mike Matusow: (X) (X) {8-Hearts} {A-Hearts} {4-Spades} {Q-Hearts} (X)
Larry Reynolds: (X) (X) {4-Clubs} {8-Spades} {4-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} (X)
Chau Giang: (X) (X) {3-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} (X)

Giang did the honors and brought in. Matusow raised, Reynolds raised, Giang called, and Matusow called.

On fourth street, Giang checked, Matusow bet, Reynolds raised, Giang called, Matusow raised again, then both Reynolds and Giang called.

On fifth street, Matusow bet, Reynolds raised all in, and Giang and Matusow called.

Matusow bet sixth street and Giang called. The same happened on seventh.

Reynolds' final hand was {4-Clubs} {8-Spades} {4-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} {2-Clubs} {5-Clubs} for trip fours and an eight-five low.

Matusow was rolled up and showed {8-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} {4-Spades} {Q-Hearts}.

Giang showed {6-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {2-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} for two pair and a seven-six low.

Despite having trips and a good low, Reynolds was eliminated when Matusow took the high and Giang the low.
