The Chip Leaders Clash

Jose Luis Velador Plays His Heat
Jose Luis Velador Plays His Heat
Shane Stacey raised to 31,000 from under the gun. Action folded around to Jose Luis Velador in the small blind and he made the call. The two went heads up to a flop of {10-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {7-Clubs}.

Velador checked and Stacey fired out a bet of 46,000. Velador then pushed out 96,000 in chips. Stacey called the raise and they saw the {2-Spades} hit the turn.

Both players checked and the river fell the {5-Spades}. Velador opened with a bet of 150,000 and a got a quick call from Stacey. Velador showed {5-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} for the rivered full house and Stacey mucked his {J-Spades} {J-Clubs} face-up.

Osmin Dardon, who we've found out is a prior acquaintance of Velador, said after the hand, "This guy has fire coming out of his *ss."

Stacey is left with approximately 550,000 in chips after the hand while Velador increases his lead and now sits on a stack of roughly 2,210,000.
