One for Hourani

Galfond raised to 140,000 on the button and Hourani called. The flop was {Q-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} . Hourani checked, Galfond bet 175,000 and Hourani raised to 475,000. As as he mulled over his decision Galfond asked for a count of Hourani's remaining chips, but ultimately decided to fold after several minutes of thought. Hourani won the pot.

It's All About Small Ball... For Now

The first half-hour of heads up play was full of small pots and careful moves. Most hands didn't make it to a flop and the ones that did were usually settled either by a well-timed continuation bet or a checkdown on multiple streets. As the blinds move up again, Galfond has picked up about 250,000 so far in heads up play with about 4,350,000 in his stack, while Hourani has about 1.9 million.

King Good Enough

Phil Galfond raised to 125,000 from the small blind/button, and Adam Hourani called. The flop came {7-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. Hourani checked, and Galfond checked behind. The turn was the {3-Spades}. Both checked again.

The river was the {9-Hearts}. Both checked again. Hourani showed K-10-6-5, and the king made his hand good enough to take it.

Take Me to the River

After six hands where very few chips changed hands, Adam Hourani opened for 125,000 and Galfond called. The flop was {J-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {3-Spades} . Galfond led out for 150,000 and Hourani quickly called. The turn was the {Q-Diamonds} and both players checked. The river was the {4-Clubs} . Galfond bet 425,000, Hourani folded, and Galfond won the pot.

Deuces on Board Don't Suit Hourani

Phil Galfond raised to 100,000 from the button, and with a smile Adam Hourani called. The flop came {10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} and both checked. The turn was the {2-Hearts}, pairing the board. Hourani checked, Galfond bet 125,000, and Hourani folded.

Then Hourani raised to 100,000 from the button, and Galfond called. The flop was {2-Spades}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. Galfond bet 125,000, and Hourani let it go.
