Katja Thater returns to defend her title
Razz makes its debut at 2008 WSOP (excepting brief appearances within several mixed-format events) in Event #26, $1,500 Razz. Razz is a game from the stud family where seven cards are dealt in total, with successive rounds of betting after the first three, and the goal is to construct the lowest possible hand, such as A-2-3-4-5... the unbeatable nuts in this format.

Action gets underway at 5pm PDT in the Amazon Room. Last year's $1,500 razz event drew 341 entrants and was captured by Katja Thater; her victory was worth $132,653.
