Gavin Griffin Eliminated?

Jonathan Jaffe
Jonathan Jaffe
In a shocking turn of events, Gavin Griffin has just been eliminated from the tournament after relinquishing a 10-1 chip lead!

Jaffe opened the pot with a 25,000 preflop raise and Griffin made the call. The flop came {2-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {6-Spades} and Jaffe fired a 50,000 bullet. Griffin then kicked it up a notch, making it 125,000 to go; Jaffe made the call.

The {J-Diamonds} fell on the turn and Jaffe fired another 50,000 feeler bet which prompted Griffin to move all in over the top of Jaffe's bet. Jonathan made the call and tabled {J-Spades} {8-Hearts} for top pair; Griffin showed the {4-Clubs} {5-Spades} for a pair and a gutshot straight draw.

The last card off the deck was the {8-Diamonds} giving Jaffe two pair, which was good enough to take down the pot and eliminate Griffin from the tournament.

Jaffe will face the winner of Kenny Tran v. Brandon Adams in tomorrow's 'final four.'
