Hand #76 - Alec Torelli

Alec Torelli
Alec Torelli
Alec Torelli has the button and kicks it up to 100,000; Kenny Tran makes a quick call.

Flop: {K-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {7-Spades}

Tran passes the first action to Torelli who checks behind.

The {K-Spades} falls on the turn and Tran leads out with a 200,000 bet. Torelli makes a quiet call.

The last card off the deck is the {J-Spades} and Tran fires a 325,000 bet. Torelli then conducts an inventory of his remaining chips before raising to 925,000. The bet immediately sends Tran into the tank. He hides his face in his hands and then cracks his knuckles before eventually laying down his hand.

"Alec shows two fives," said tournament director Robbie Thompson which roused a long-winded "Woooot" from the peanut gallery. "Ship it!" said one Torelli fan.

Hand #79 - Kenny Tran

Kenny Tran has the button. He raises to 120,000. Alec Torelli, sitting in the big blind, reraises to 350,000. Once again, Tran is faced with a big decision. He takes his time before making the call.

The flop is all hearts: {9-Hearts} {J-Hearts} {4-Hearts}. Torelli checks to Tran. Tran decides to take a stab at the pot with a big bet of 500,000. Torelli quickly folds.
