Max-Well House

Max Pescatori has just doubled up through Jeff Brown. All the chips went in on a {A-Spades} {A-Clubs} {3-Spades} flop.

Pescatori tabled {A-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {7-Hearts} to Brown's {K-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} {Q-Spades} {J-Spades}.

Pescatori filled up on the {7-Diamonds} turn before Brown also filled up on the {K-Hearts} river. The bigger full house belonged to Pescatori, though.

Pescatori is up to 42,000 now.

Do You Come from the Land Down Under?

James Pickering
James Pickering
Jamie Pickering raised pot preflop, and Jesper Hougaard took his time contemplating how to respond.

"Have you got aces?" asked Hougaard. "Where you from? Australia? I can't get anything out of you."

Hougaard decided to reraise the pot, putting Pickering all in. Pickering made the call.

Pickering {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Hougaard {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}

Hougaard was correct in both of his assumptions. Pickering is Australian, and he did have aces. The board came 2-3-8-8-2, and Pickering doubled up to 58,000. Hougaard currently has 135,000.

Gill On the up Once More

Carter Gill
Carter Gill
After taking that pot off Marty Smyth, Carter Gill has managed to double up through Eugene Todd. A series of bets and raises saw Gill move all in and Todd make the call.

Gill flipped over {7-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {5-Spades} to Todd's {A-Spades} {A-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {10-Spades}.

The board came {J-Clubs} {5-Hearts} {K-Clubs} {7-Spades} {2-Clubs} to see Gill crack the aces with two pair.

The pot was worth 50,000 to Gill. Todd is still healthy on 86,000.

Gill is certainly having a yo-yo tournament.

Tony Cousineau Eliminated in 38th ($3,833)

Tony Cousineau got it all in versus Calen McNeil before the flop. When they showed their hands, Cousineau revealed {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, while McNeil held {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{A-Clubs}. Not too many hands in Omaha that dominate other hands preflop, but Cousineau appeared to be in as good a shape as he could've hoped here.

Then came the flop: {10-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. No runner-runner kings for Cousineau, and he was out.

Marty Smyth Eliminated in 39th ($3,833)

Marty Smyth was left short-stacked after he admitted playing a previous pot badly. He was in the big blind and moved his last 12,100 in after Carter Gill had raised from the cutoff.

Gill quickly tabled {J-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} {10-Hearts} to Smyth's {Q-Spades} {6-Clubs} {A-Clubs} {9-Diamonds}.

The board ran {A-Spades} {9-Spades} {3-Hearts} {10-Spades} {10-Diamonds}. Smyth took the lead but ended up behind, and we lose the well-respected European player.

Generous Mr. Statkiewicz

In back-to-back hands Stanley Statkiewicz Jr has doubled up two players.

The first beneficiary was Chau Giang, who moved in on a {10-Diamonds} {A-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} flop with {3-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} {A-Clubs} {J-Spades}.

Statkiewicz called with {8-Spades} {7-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs}.

The turn {Q-Hearts} and river {Q-Spades} were favorable to Giang, who hangs around.

The next hand Eric Rosenman doubled up on a board of {Q-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {J-Clubs}. His {A-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {J-Spades} {J-Diamonds} bettered Statkiewicz's {10-Hearts} {A-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {7-Clubs}.
