Double Slowplay

No groundbreaking pots as of yet, just blind stealing and the odd walk. I did catch an interesting hand between Mike Schwartz and Jason Young though, both players slow-playing big hands. Somehow {A-Spades}{8-Hearts} versus {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs} on an {8-Spades}{A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Spades} board was checked all the way down to the river where Schwartz's bet of 75,000 was smooth-called by Young's top pair.

"Boy, I could have gone bust on that hand, but just lost 75,000," commented Young after the hand.

We're Back

Our three remaining players have just returned from dinner, and their chip counts as yet remain at their pre-dinner break levels.

Dinner Break

On the final hand before the agreed dinner break, Mike Schwartz folds the button (after asking how long was left and decided to "wait till after dinner"), Jason Young makes up the small blind and John Strzemp checks.

{7-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{9-Spades}

Check, check.

Turn = {2-Hearts}

Young bets 50,000, Strzemp folds.

We're now on the 60 minute dinner break.

Schwartz Almost Even With Young

Michael Schwartz, meanwhile, is on fire. He called Young's 100,000 bet on a {3-Clubs} {9-Hearts} {10-Spades} {5-Clubs} board, limp/checked up until the turn, and then took the pot with a 300,000 bet on the river.

-------

He took some more chips away from Young a couple of hands later. Young on the button limped, and Strzemp made up the blind. Big Blind Schwartz made it another 150,000, and Young called.

Schwartz bet out on the {Q-Spades} {J-Clubs} {7-Spades} flop, and Young looked down at his hand. "I'm not showing you," he said, "But nice hand," and folded. Said Schwartz, "I show you because I like you," and flipped over {K-Spades} {K-Clubs}.
