Hand #102: Greg Mueller Makes a Big Call

Leo Wolpert has the button. Greg Mueller raised to 80,000 from under the gun. Thomas Roupe then reraised to 280,000 from the cutoff. It folded back around to Mueller, who made the call.

The flop came {3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. Mueller checked, and Roupe announced he was all in. Mueller leaned back in his chair and looked over at Roupe. He then stood up, folded his arms, and exhaled. Roupe had Mueller covered, so his tourney life was on the line.

"All right, I call," he said.

Mueller showed the {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, and Roupe {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. Mueller clapped his hands excitedly.

The turn was the {2-Clubs}. If Mueller could fade an eight, he'd double up and Roupe would be crippled.

The river was the {K-Spades}, and Mueller took the pot of approximately 1,600,000. Meanwhile, Roupe is down to about 40,000.

These Seats Are Quite Comfortable, Thank You

A hundred hands in, and all six players are still sitting at the table. Quite a contrast to yesterday, when over half of the 36 players at our six six-handed tables had hit the rail before the end of the first level.

Of course, yesterday it was all-or-nothing. Today the payouts differ considerably from sixth to first. Check 'em out by clicking "Prizepool and Payouts."
