Sometimes in split poker, it takes a big hand to win in both directions, and that's what John Racener required when he clashed with multiple bracelet winner Scott Clements.
Preflop, Racener opened the action, Clements raised and Racener called.
Then on the
flop, World War III erupted: Racener's opening bet leading to a total of five raises and an eventual all in from Racener, which was subsequently called by Clements.Racener =

Racener scoops the lot with quad sevens and an A-2-6-7-8 low to topple Clements aces full and A-3-6-7-8 low -- a classic nuts & nuts versus second nuts & second nuts confrontation.
Whilst Clements is cold-decked down to to 16,000, Racener jumps up to 21,000.
