Phil Hellmuth and J.J. Lieu

Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth
Phil bets pre-flop and J.J. pops him back, they get a caller and see of flop of K-5-6 rainbow. Phil hits it again and J.J. pops him right back, they lose their hitchhiker and see an eight on the turn, still no flush draw. Phil slows down and checks but J.J. bets and Phil makes the call. A six on the river and its check, bet, call again.

Phil shows K-x for top pair; J.J. shows the pocket aces for the win.

Where is Bill's Picture?

T.J. Cloutier inquired why are all the World Series Main Event winners' pictures on the wall except for Bill Smith? Bill Smith won the World Series Main Event in 1985 and has since passed away. Interesting that no one in the room noticed except Cloutier. That's probably because Cloutier was runner-up to Smith that year.

Cloutier knows about being runner-up, as he was again in 2000 when Chris Ferguson won.

Woods raises from the button and says, "Not a steal!" The blinds fold and James shows {K-Spades}{J-Spades} and says, "See, not a bluff, not that I won't, just wanted to warn you in case you were getting greedy."

J.C. Tran Always Aggressive

J.C. Tran bet at every level on a flop of {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} against one opponent. The {8-Clubs} came on the turn, Tran bet out 150 and was called. The {J-Clubs} came on the river, Tran bet 150 and was called. Tran showed {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}, his opponent showed {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}, which gave them both a full house to split the pot of 1050.
