Hand #149 - Raymond Rahme Doubles Through Jerry Yang

Raymond Rahme
Raymond Rahme
Hand #149 - Jerry Yang has the button in seat 4, Alex Kravchenko raises under the gun to 1.75 million, Yang reraises from the button to 6.25 million, and Raymond Rahme moves all in from the big blind for 17.125 million. The crowd rises to their feet, and the South African cheering section start shouting words of encouragement to Rahme.

Kravchenko folds, and Yang goes into the pot for about two minutes before he calls.

Rahme shows {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}, and Yang shows {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}. Rahme needs to improve to stay alive.

The flop comes {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, and the ace is in the window. Before the flop is even spread out, Rahme's cheering section cheers, with several of his friends literally leaping into the air with excitement. Rahme takes a dominating lead with a pair of aces, as Yang has just one queen left in the deck to give him this hand.

The turn card is the {3-Hearts}, the river card is the {5-Spades}, and Rahme goes to the rail hug his friends as they burst into celebratory song.

Raymond Rahme doubles up to 36.6 million, while Jerry Yang drops down to 41.625 million. Yang still has the chip lead, but he's much less invincible than he seemed a little while ago.
