2007 World Series of Poker
Event 55 - $10,000 World Championship No Limit Holdem
Day: 2b
Rain Khan raises in early position to 6,000. A player moves all in for 13,700. He looks at Khan and says, "I know you're scared, and you're going to fold." (Big words, considering what table he's at!) The rest of the table folds and Khan, unnecessarily, moves in for 100,000 to make the call. Khan has J-J versus his opponent's A-Q offsuit. The board comes and Khan busts the player. He's at 450,000.
The flop came and Samir checked to Negreanu who led out with a 6,000 bet. Samir then check-raised all-in for a total of 21,100. "Kid Poker" made the call and Samir turned over the , for top pair with a King kicker. Daniel then revealed to the sound of cheer and applause from the gallery.
The turn and river blanked out and Samir said his goodbyes, as Negreanu raked in the pot, increasing his chip stack to 130,000 in chips.
Lubarsky bet 22,000 and his opponent called. The turn brought the . Lubarsky bet again, this time 40,000, and his opponent called. The river came the . Both players checked. Lubarsky turned over and his opponent mucked. Lubarsky stacked the chips, which now total 230,000.
He's just taken down another pot with an all-in reraise from the button. This moved his stack up to nearly 90,000.
I think he may have a slight advantage over some of his opponents though. Tony's brother Joe, the 2005 WSOP Champion, is cheering him on from the rails, and Tony has been seen chatting with him between hands.
Tony is flying the family flag this year, as Joe was eliminated yesterday.
Goldstein had his opponent covered and eliminated him from the tournament when the board came .
After the hand, Goldstein stacked up 111,000 in chips.
