2007 World Series of Poker
Event 55 - $10,000 World Championship No Limit Holdem
Day: 1a
With poker's recent mainstream surge to popularity, it's no secret that the etiquette and "gentlemanly" aspect of the game has eroded in the eyes of many. Organized chants by spectators, aggressive taunting, and all out "trash talk" are aspects of today's game that were relatively unheard of a decade ago. It's quite obvious, however, based on the trends noticed thus far, that these aspects of the game, good or bad, are here to stay.
The flop came and Richardson's opponent moved all-in for her last 5,000. Richardson called and flipped over pocket Kings; his opponent showed pocket Jacks.
The turn brought a harmless , but the on the river gave Richardson's opponent the checkmark.

The last card off the deck was the and Black fired out a 5,000 bet; his opponent called.
The side pot was settled first and Black showed for top two pair with an Ace kicker, but his opponent showed a pocket pair of Kings to take the side pot. Kings would ultimately be enough to scoop the entire pot, as the player who moved all-in on the flop mucked his cards after he saw the Kings.
Black took a loss on the hand, but is still in fine shape at 120,000 chips.
A player under the gun limps in. Ray Romano in middle position makes it 2,600. The button re-raises to 7,000 and UTG calls. Romano three-bets it all in for 1,275 more and both call. On the flop, UTG checks on the side and the button bets 16,000. UTG folds.
After three cameras show up to watch Romano's all in, he asks "Is Paris Hilton behind me?"
Romano has and the button has . Romano gets no help and is done.
Romano stops by Brad Garrett's table after he busts. "Do you want to pay me that side bet now?" Garrett says.
"Have you guys all seen Brad's show?" Romano says. "Better hurry!"
"You can have me so crushed," he said as he went into the tank for three minutes before he called.
His opponent showed and Chan groaned. Chan flipped over . The river was a blank and Chan slipped to under 4K.
On the very next hand, Chan was eliminated.
