Round Analysis: Hold'em

There were 16 hands of Hold'em during that level. On the first hand, John Hanson went into the tank when Bruno Fitoussi raised his big blind. Deeb thought Hanson was stalling and said something about wanting to call a clock on him if that's what his intentions were. When Hanson folded, Deeb asked, "What did you have that it took you so long to decide to fold?" Hanson did not respond.

After that incident, Deeb and Hanson went on the offensive as they attempted to stop Fitoussi's aggression. They really didn't gain too much on Fitoussi, but as short stacks they also avoided elimination to stay alive.

Instead of backing down, both of the short stacks attacked Bruno Fitoussi's big stack. Deeb and Hanson won four out of the first six hands as they slowly chipped away at Fitoussi's lead. Hanson even doubled up. They were still way behind but if anything, they slowed down his march towards first place. By Hand #176, they cut Fitoussi's stack down to 9.2M.

Fitoussi ran off three straight before Hanson won a small pot on Hand #180.
