Eli vs. Miami John

Miami John Cernuto: {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
Eli Elezra: {K-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

In a hand where it appeared Cernuto was going for low and Elezra was going for high, Elezra turned over an 8-7-5 low, just out-pipping Cernuto's 8-7-6 low. Elezra also made his flush and scooped the pot, taking his stack up to 17,000 and Cernuto's down to 10,000

"I've got an advantage over you" Elezra said to Cernuto. "I've got Doyle and Chip waiting for me in the VIP lounge to play $1,000 a point Chinese Poker. "

On the very next hand, Cernuto made a set of kings and his stack shot back up to 17K.

Artie Cobb Strikes Like a Cobra

With a board reading {A-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}, Artie Cobb cried "miracle deuce!" as the {2-Hearts} hit him on sixth street. The wheel it made was good enough to scoop a massive four-way pot, catapulting his stack to 24,000 from the 4,900 he started the day with.

Cobb is one of the best stud players alive, with four WSOP bracelets, three in stud high and one in stud 8 or better. He's definitely one to watch in this event.
