Michael Mizrachi Tries to Bust

The "Grinder" wants to play the 7 card stud event so he moved in with K-5 and doubled up and then moved in with J-8 and wouldn't you know it, he doubles again; this time hitting a nine-high straight on the river.. Apparently the Grinder will be playing more Hold'em today.

T.J. Takes a Hit

A player in middle position raised to 800 and a player two seats to his left reraised all-in for 3200. T.J. Cloutier makes the call from the button and the original raiser folds. T.J. shows the {K-Hearts} {K-Clubs} and his opponent, the {7-Spades} {7-Hearts}. The flop came {10-Hearts} {K-Spades} {J-Hearts}, giving T.J. the top set, but the turn and river came {9-Clubs} {8-Clubs}, giving his opponent a jack high straight. After the hand, T.J. was left with 7000 chips.

William Durkee New Chip Leader

There was about 7000 in the pot, and William Durkee thought for a long time before he called the small blind's all-in of 24,000 with 20,375. Durkee showed {J-Spades}{J-Clubs} against {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} and the board came {Q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. Durkee took the pot with a pair of jacks and was up to 48,000 in chips after the hand.

Jacks are Everywhere

Kuong Lu is all-in with J-J against pocket aces and the flop hits A-5-2. Just before Kuong can stand up a J hits the turn but, of course, that is no help unless the case Jack hits the river and BINGO! Quad Jacks beat Aces full.
