Hand-for-Hand Play Begins

We're now down to 157 players. The tournament staff has asked all spectators, including all media, to exit the tournament area until all players have made the money. We'll keep an eye out for any high-profile bubble bustouts.

Hellmuth tilts

Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth
Elky raises to 5,000 UTG and Helmuth calls, saying "I am playing so bad, I call." The player in the cutoff also calls.

The flop comes {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}.

Elky checks, Hellmuth bets 4,500, the cutoff calls, and Elky raises all in for another 12,000.

Hellmuth folds, as does the cutoff who shows {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

Elky shows the {A-Spades} and mucks. Hellmuth says "I KNEW you had that hand."

John Murphy Doubles Up

Murphy called a 3,600 UTG raise from middle position with {9-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} and went heads-up to the flop. The {7-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {9-Hearts} flop gave Murphy the nuts. The preflop raiser checked, and Murphy bet 6,000. His opponent check-raised, moving all-in and Murphy called instantly. His opponent flipped over the {K-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} for a flush draw, but failed to improve when the board came {A-Spades} {10-Clubs}. Murphy is currently sitting on a stack of around 105,000.

Brandi Hawbaker Doubles Up

A player in middle position raised to 5,000 before the flop, and Brandi called from the big blind holding {7-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds}. The flop came {6-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {7-Spades}, giving Brandi the stone cold nuts, which she checked. Her trap worked, as her opponent moved all-in with the {K-Spades} {J-Clubs}. The {A-Hearts} on the turn sealed the deal, and Brandi doubled through to 75,000.

After the hand, Brandi told one of our reporters: "I want this one so bad! This game is mine!"

Her opponent moved all-in after the flop, holding the {A-Diamonds} {K-Spades}, with the second nut draw. Clonie called and her opponent failed to improve his hand. She now has almost 74,000 in chips.

Scotty Nguyen -- Eliminated Baby!

Scotty Nguyen
Scotty Nguyen
Scotty Nguyen moves all in UTG with pocket Tens and is called by a player in middle position. It is folded around to the big blind who moves all in for 10,400 more with pocket Jacks. The middle position player calls and opens pocket fives.
