Just 25 players will return for Day 3 of the World Series of Poker International Circuit Marrakech Main Event with a chance of taking down the 1,200,000 MAD (€111,776) first-place prize, the WSOP Gold Ring and a ticket to the 2016 WSOP Circuit Global Championship, which carries with it a minimum prize pool of $1 million. It was a day of eliminations, with Day 1a chip leader Sofian Benaissa earning a min-cash whereas Day 1b chip leader Guillaume Darcourt fell short of the money.

The 25 remaining players, who have all guaranteed themselves 41,000 MAD (€3,819), are lead by Sonny Franco (1,187,000), who boosted his chip stack by eliminating Eric Fournier as the tournament bubble boy. He caught a piece of a {a-Spades}{3-Hearts}{j-Clubs} flop holding {j-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} but was crushed by Franco's pocket threes and failed to recover to bust in 45th place. The bustouts intensified after the bubble burst, with min-cashes worth 25,000 MAD (€2,328) for Guy Taylor, Rakesh Lalwani, Rebecca Gerin and Roland van Morckhoven.

Joining Franco at the top of the chip counts is Anthony Rodrigues (1,182,000 ) and Mathieu Selides (1,044,000). These three players are the only ones to top a million in chips and will be looking forward to chipping up further when play resumes on Day 3. Other notable stacks include Loic Blarez (501,000), Erwann Pecheux (222,000) and last woman standing Natalia Breviglieri (300,000)

Be sure to keep track of the final day's play at the Casino de Marrakech here on PokerNews when players return at 13:00 local time on Sunday
