Jacob Survives a Scare

, Alex Jacob moved all in for his last (approx.) 6,000 holding pocket kings. After quite some time in the tank, his opponent made the call. When it was time to turn over the cards, Alex revealed his kings, which prompted his opponent to nudge his cards toward the muck, face down.

"Muck his cards," said a third party seated across from Alex.

"He mucked. Take his cards," added Ted Lawson, also at the table.

A floorperson was eventually called to the table and he ruled that the cards must be turned face-up. "Even if he buried them deep in the muck, I'd have to go in and dig them out," he explained.
