Jonathan Little Eliminated
Churchill limped into the pot from under-the-gun and when the action got around to Little, he made it 700 to go; Churchill was the lone caller. The flop came A-K-8 and Churchill check-called a 700 bet from Little.
The turn brought a queen, and again Churchill checked to Little who fired another 700 bet. Churchill then raised, making it 3,700 to go. Little responded with a re-raise of his own, and a big one at that, shoving his entire stack into the middle. Churchill made the call and turned over J-10 for the stone cold nuts; Little tabled K-Q for two pair.
Little failed to hit one of his four outs on the river and was consequently eliminated from the competition early in the second level. After the hand, Churchill told us "Now I've just got to pay attention and keep my nose clean," referring to the long grind that is Day 1.
