Ben Sabrin Flexes Some Muscle

Ben Sabrin
Ben Sabrin
Ryan Young had the button in seat 9. Action folded around to Giovanni Marcacci who raised to 32,000 from early position. Ben Sabrin called from the big blind and the two took a flop heads up.

{K-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades}

Sabrin led out for 52,000 and was quickly called. The turn brought the {8-Hearts} which prompted both players to check. The dealer tabled the {3-Hearts} on the river and Ben Sabrin moved all in for 236,000. Marcacci went into the tank for upwards of three minutes before finally folding. Ben Sabrin took down the pot.

The Ultimate Cooler

Ben Sabrin had the button in seat 2. Action folded to Don Nicholson who raised to 35,000. Ryan Young, next to act, announced a re-raise and pushed out 105,000 total. Donald Nicholson thought for about 3 minutes before finally declaring himself all in. Young, who had Nicholson covered, wasted no time calling and the players showed:

Nicholson: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}
Young: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}

The flop came {A-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. Upon seeing the ace, Nicholson, possibly involuntarily loudly shouted "Yes!" at the top of his lungs. Young was drawing to running kings which never came. Nicholson doubled through Ryan Young.

Both players checked. The {2-Clubs} hit the turn and again both players checked. Mark Garner couldn't check the river {6-Diamonds}. He bet 22,000. Nicholson made the call and the players showed:

Nicholson: {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

Tom Schneider Takes Down A Pot

Don Nicholson had the button in seat 8. Action folded around to Ryan Young in the small blind and he completed. Tom Schneider checked his big blind option. The two took a flop heads up of {A-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. Both players checked. The turn brought the {8-Diamonds}. Young led out for 16,000 and Schneider looked him up. The river came the {7-Spades}. Young bet 20,000 and after thinking for about a minute or so, Schneider made the call. The players showed:

Young: {J-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Schneider: {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

Schneider's two pair was best and he took down the first pot we've seen that resulted in a showdown, but not an elimination or double up.
