Tremblay Wins the Battle of the Blinds

Level 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The action folded all the way to the small blind where Isabelle Tremblay limped and Mitchell Scholefield checked his option in the big blind.

The 98K flop landed and it quickly checked through to a 6 turn. Tremblay opted to take the betting lead with a wager of 20,000. After a short tank, Scholefield flicked in a call and the 2 rolled off on the river.

The action slowed back down and checked through and Tremblay quickly tabled 86 for two pair and her sparing partner mucked.

Chong Takes One Off Lam

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The action was opened under the gun when Heng Chong moved all in for his last 49,000 chips. One by one every single player folded all the way to Sandy Lam in the big blind. She mulled over her options for awhile and seemed to be in a tough spot for the small shove. Eventually she flicked in a call and the cards hit their backs.

Heng Chong: AJ All in
Sandy Lam: Q7

The full board ran out 7A456 and with a pair of aces, Chong got the pure double to stay alive.

Benoit Has a Hand, Khalil Does Too

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

The action folded all the way to Day 2 chip leader Charles-Eric Benoit on the button who only took a moment before moving all in over the two short stacks in the blinds.

The small blind folded and the then Jean-Francois Khalil snap called in the big blind.

Jean-Francois Khalil: KK All in
Charles-Eric Benoit: 55

Benoit would need some some help but it wouldn't come on the 9KQ3J board. Khalil got the pure double to stay alive.

Early Knockout for Monarque

Level 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

The action folded to Natasha Tatta in middle position who moved all in for her remaining 83,000. It then folded all the way to Pascal Monarque in the big blind who only thought it over for a moment before calling.

The cards hit their backs with Tatta all in and at risk.

Natasha Tatta: QJ All in
Pascal Monarque: AQ

The full board ran out 74982 and with just ace-high, Monarque sent Tatta to the rail and collected more chips for his top-five stack.
