Second Flight of WSOPC Playground Main Event Gets Underway at 11 a.m.
It is time for Day 1b of the World Series of Poker Circuit Playground Main Event which is the second of three starting flights. Today will be a busy Friday in the outskirts of Montreal as the players will look to top the numbers from Day 1a which were 207 entries that ended with 21 players.
All players today will be hunting the huge 1,579,000 chip lead watermark set by Kevin MacDonald yesterday after play went a little bit beyond halfway into Level 18 late last night.
Every player who failed to make it to Day 2 on Day 1a can try again today as the action will only heat up from this point.
Today is Day 1b of the Main Event while Day 1c will be at the same time tomorrow on Saturday. The schedule calls for each Day 1 to play down to 10% before bagging up for the night. The players who survive each Day 1 flight will then converge for Day 2, which is scheduled for Sunday at 11 a.m. The final day of action is Monday, where the winner will ultimately be crowned.
Players start with 40,000 in tournament chips. Registration and re-entry is open through the start of Level 13 on each Day 1 (~ 8:30 p.m.). Levels are 40 minutes with a break coming every three levels. There is a 45-minute dinner break following the end of Level 9.
PokerNews will be on hand throughout this tournament to bring you all the updates of the action here in Quebec.
