Gaetano Buda was standing up and all in against Fabrizio Bruno
Gaetano Buda: K♥K♣
Fabrizio Bruno: A♦Q♣
The flop came 7♣5♣5♠. The turn was the 5♥ and the river was the A♠. Buda reacted in horror with a yell of disgust when the ace hit and his rail did the same as he was brutally taken out on the river.
Three players were on a flop of J♠Q♦J♣. Kevin MacDonald bet 400,000, Duff Charette folded the button and James Pillon called in the small blind. The turn was the 10♦. It went check-check.
The river came the A♦. Pillon led out for 700,000 and MacDonald quickly called.
Pillon tabled the absolute nuts with the K♦J♦.
Pillon then questioned MacDonald if he would have called more on the river to which MacDonald replied, "I had a big hand".
Arnaud Bonhomme-Lemieux opened to 275,000 under the gun. Hussein Hassan jammed for about 2,475,000 from the small blind. Di Zhang was in the big blind and took his time. After thinking for close to two minutes he called.
Bonhomme-Lemieux instantly re-jammed over the top and Zhang shook his head but quickly sigh-called.
Hussein Hassan: J♥J♠
Arnaud Bonhomme-Lemieux: A♦A♣
Di Zhang: Q♣Q♥
It was a dream spot for Bonhomme-Lemieux but was not out of the woods yet as Zhang had the largest of the three stacks. The flop came 6♠A♥4♣ to clear the path for the aces as the turn was the 2♥ and the river the A♠ for quads.
Hassan was eliminated and Zhang was left short while Bonhomme-Lemieux collected the big boon for the chip lead.
