The last WSOP-C stop at Playground came in April, when Dustin Melanson took down the $1,700 Main Event by defeating a field of 1,660 entrants to take home $339,770.

"I felt like I was at my best, and I felt like my opponents couldn't really keep up with my aggression and the pressure I was putting on, Melanson told PokerNews after his win. “I felt like my opponents couldn't really keep up with my aggression and the pressure I was putting on."

Under the gun raised to 45,000 and Bibek Karki called from middle position. Leo Ragusa raised to 110,000 from late position and received a call from Karki.

The flop came 27Q and Karki was quick to check. Ragusa fired for 110,000 and Karki moved all in. Ragusa called and both players revealed their holdings.

GGPoker Buys World Series of Poker for $500 Million; WSOP to Remain in Vegas for 20 Years

Caesars Entertainment has announced that they will be selling the iconic World Series of Poker brand to NSUS Group Inc, a leading investment group and operator of leading online poker room GGPoker.

The deal is set to be worth $500 million — $250 million in cash and a $250 million promissory note "due five years after the transaction's closing date", according to the press release.

The sale comes off the back of the largest WSOP Main Event in history and less than four months before the return of WSOP Paradise to the Bahamas.
