Kyle Klett Beats Byron Ziebell to Win Event #2: $400 PLO
PokerNews is in town to report the $1,700 Main Event here at the World Series of Poker Circuit at Milwaukee’s Potawatomi Hotel and Casino, but that is just one of the gold ring events that will have played out by the end of the series.
In Event #2: $400 Pot-Limit Omaha, 164 runners created a $54,120 prize pool that was paid out amongst the top 25 players, including Chris Roth (5th - $3,089), Alexander Hill (8th - $1,411), Dan Bekavac (10th - $958), Kirby Rogers (17th - $730), Gary Herstein (23rd - $628), and Nick Pupillo (24th - $628).
In the end, Kyle Klett defeated former WSOPC Potawatomi Casino Champ Byron Ziebell in heads-up play to win the title for $13,723 and his first gold ring a year after finishing runner-up in a tournament at the WSOPC Potawatomi stop.
“I didn’t want to get it all in with the short stacks, I wanted to bleed them,” said Klett, a 27-year-old broker. “I feels really good. Last year when I got second it stung a lot and the outcome of this event just feels a lot better … I just want to shoutout to my rail, Monkey and Bruger for taking a half-day to come watch me play.”
