Lucci Starts to Climb Early

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The turned board read {3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and there was 8,000 in the pot. Andrew Barfield checked to Gary Lucci, he bet 2,000 and Barfield check-raised to 8,000.

Lucci called and the {10-Clubs} completed the board. Barfield fired in 11,000, Lucci snap-called and Barfield tabled {7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} for three ducks but it was not enough as Lucci turned over {a-Clubs}{2-Spades} for the same three deuces with a higher kicker.
