Andrey Kotelnikov Takes the Chip Lead

Level 40 : 175,000/350,000, 45,000 ante

Andrey Kotelnikov took the chip lead for the first time at the final table after doubling up against the former chip leader Joaquin Melogno.

Melogno opened the cutoff for 770,000 and got a call by Kotelnikov from the big blind. Melogno let the agression pour on. He fired out for 816,500 after the {8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} landed on the flop.

A bigger bet of 2,224,650 after the {k-Hearts} landed on the turn and Kotelnikov called once again.

The {9-Hearts} completed the board on the river and Melogno jammed his monster stack. Kotelnikov made the call for the 5,630,422 he had behind.

Melogno was bluffing with {7-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Kotelnikov took the chip lead after turning over {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} for top pair.
