WSOP Winter Online Circuit

The 2020 GGPoker WSOP Winter Online Circuit is well underway now, and after a bevy of Day 1s, it's time to crown a champion in WSOPC #15: $400 NEW YEAR COLOSSUS, $2.021M GTD. Day 1 action has been going for a while now, with multiple flights for people to qualify for today's Day 2 action.

Action for Day 2 kicks off at 1:30 p.m. eastern time today (18:30 UTC), and with some Day 1 action still underway, China's "ShenCheng123" leads the way with more than 1M chips. The only other player with a million so far is Poland's "Olorion". Among the other notables to make Day 2 so far are sponsored pros Felipe Ramos and Pete Chen, as well influencer Dara O'Kearney and streamers Michiel "Easterdamnz" Van Elsacker and Yu Chung "WNCouple" Chang.

Just under 1,000 players are currently set to sit down for Day 2 in about an hour, and they'll be joined by a few more players from the final Day 1 flights. In total, 6,883 players have tried their hand in one of the Day 1s, and they combined for an additional 1,714 rebuys for a total of 8,609 entries recorded so far.

The event was guaranteed at $2.021M, but they blew past that, settling in with a prize pool of well over $3 million. That means there's more than $370K up top for the win right now, and currently 900 players are scheduled to make the money in this one.

Stay tuned here all day for action and updates from the field as they crown a champion in WSOPC #15: $400 NEW YEAR COLOSSUS, $2.021M GTD.
