Grandin Vaults Over 200K

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

With the board reading {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, Marilyn Matthews and Dave Grandin were heads-up in an already substantial pot. There was around 40,000 in the middle and the two players got the rest of their chips in the middle on the turn.

Grandin flipped over {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a flopped flush while Matthews held {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for a set of eights and was looking for the board to pair. The river was the {j-Spades} and Grandin held on to win the pot. The chip stacks were close and once they were counted, it was deemed that Matthews was the player at risk for just over 70,000 chips.
