Matthews Flops a Set

Level 8 : 300/600, 600 ante

Three players headed to a flop of {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and the big blind led out for 1,000. Steven Sardjoe raised to 5,000 and Marilyn Matthews quickly called. The big blind folded and the {2-Clubs} rolled off on the turn.

Sardjoe splashed in a bet of 8,000 and Matthews announced all in. Sardjoe quickly called off his stack of around 20,000 and the cards were tabled. Matthews showed {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} for a set of queens which left Matthews drawing slim with {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. The {6-Clubs} completed the board and Matthews eliminated Sardjoe on her way to a stack of over 100,000 chips.
